Q1. Why should I consider a boarding school over a day school?

Ans. With the present sedentary lifestyle of children and the dominance of technology over mankind, children spend most of their time on gadgets and indoor games. A co-ed boarding school helps a child to overcome these challenges by engaging him/her physically and mentally in a constructive, disciplined and innovative environment. As a result, the child grows up to be a competitive, academically sound and a responsible individual

Q2. What are the advantages of a Co-Educational boarding school?

Ans. A Co-ed boarding school promotes gender equality and teaches the child to respect the other gender. It removes shyness, and fear and also increases confidence. One has to be able to work with different genders, cultures, family backgrounds, and traditions in every aspect. Co-education results in young adults who are open-minded, well-rounded, and willing to step outside of their comfort zone

Q3. What is the admission process?

Ans. The Admission process in co-ed boarding school is solely done on the basis of an Entrance Examination conducted in between October–January paired with an interaction with the Head of School and the Admissions Committee. For appearing in the Entrance Examination, the applicant needs to get registered through the school website

Q4. What is the curriculum offered at the school?

Ans. WE offers both the National Curriculum (CBSE) and an International Curriculum (CAIE i.e. The Cambridge Assessment International Education) at the secondary and higher secondary levels.

Q5. What is the deadline for registration?

Ans. You need to register the child in advance to book a seat for the entrance examination which is conducted in between October to January every year.

Q6. What is the average class strength?

Ans. Generally it is 25. We try our best not to have more than 30 students per class to ensure personalized attention.

Q7. What is your international student strength

Ans. We have a diverse student body. Roughly 20% of them come from around the world. The countries that are represented this year are Bangladesh, Singapore, UK to name a few.

Q8. What extra academic support will my child get?

Ans. For those who need additional support, there are 1 hour remedial/tutorial sessions, after classes, from Monday to Friday. There are evening and night study preps as well, to provide students with extra time for academic reinforcement.

Q9. What opportunities does the school provide beyond academics to augment learning?

Ans. Students undertake activities that encourage personal discovery and growth, skill development, physical recreation, perseverance, responsibility to themselves and service to the community. A range of sports and games, a variety of clubs and programmes like the IAYP ( International Award for Young People, formerly known as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award ) provide ample opportunities for all these.

Q10. How does one stay in touch?

Ans. Krishna Kulam allows the child 120 minutes per month of phone calls with the parents. Apart from the same, the parent may contact the school representative (Counsellor/ House Master) to know about the child’s progress.
